The GAMA Flying Site

The sign above, was placed at the entrance to our field on 11 August 2002, in memory of our founder, Jim Duckworth, who died on 24 April 2002. Jim was a champion of Radio Control Model Aviation, a charter member of GAMA and a club officer for over 20 years.

GAMA has a  flying site at an excellant location near Ft Valley, Georgia (see Map) on Vinson Rd, on an expansive 58.99 acre leased flying site that has been our home since August 28, 2001.

GAMA has a very isolated, clean, uncluttered flying site, a grass runway, a shelter for those hot days and a building for holding meetings etc. We pride ourselves in providing our members a flying site free of the worries of grass cutting etc., that is maintained by a service for our members.  Our members are well aware that when they arrive at the flying site it will be ready for flying. Provisions are available for picnics and cooking via grills provided on the field.

Click here for a quick tour of the flying site.
