The GAMA Meetings
Meetings 2010
The Georgia Aircraft Modelers Association, Inc. convenes a monthly meeting
to report monthly minutes, treasury balances, and discuss and plan association
activities. Our meetings are usually held at the flying
site in Fort Valley on the last Saturday of every month (March - October) and at
the VFW in Warner Robins (November, January, February) (No meeting in December)
Monthly event during the summer meetings begin at 2:00 P.M. and meeting begins at
5:00 P.M.
Members bring radio control aircraft for entry into a model of the month
contest. Modelers discuss the specifications of their models, techniques
that they used for building etc. Modelers are given a cash award for participating
in Model of the Month.
Summer meetings are also accompanied by our monthly cook out that is
planned and prepared by our volunteer "Cookout Host". All expenses for
these cook outs are provided by the association. The "Event Host" is our
club member that volunteered to run the monthly event, with members competing
in a simple event for prizes.
